Hi to All, Didn't know where to post this hope it's OK here.

Introduction, I am "Sted" (Steve) Based in Derbyshire, Been meaning to join for Some time. Met Nudge Last year at Gwithian (thanks Ian for info and friendly chat). Recently bought some new kites from John Eaton at Powerkiteshop (thanks John for the good gen). Spoken today with Jon from Buggy Bags (Thanks Jon Need your help).

I kite Buggy (since Wallop 2006), I have two Flexi buggies one for grass and one for the beach. I have a bag of well used Samis, a Rage 4.7 (Old Faithful), two Best LEIs and thanks to John, now have De-power Access 6m and 10m.

I have posted my Membership Application with a cheque today (Dinosaur).

I hope to get down soon to meet you all on the beach. Could anyone give me some details of the campsite facilities, can I bring a Caravan, are Dogs allowed and a Telephone Number, would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know if my membership or life will be sorted in time to join in the end of August Meet?

Regards, Sted.

Hi Sted. Club Vice Chair here, yes you can bring your caravan, and dog, dogs are allowed on the beach where we sail, although usual access to the beach is via part of the beach where dogs are not allowed. There are other access points. Just a big harder to access though. Im sure your membership will be sorted before the next meet. if you want to come get your name down on the booking thread, here in the forum. There is alot more info about the meet in the meet thread.

Hope this info is of help.

See you at the next meet hopefully.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the welcome! Just checked your next meet dates (23/24) looks like I can't make it (Gutted!), i will double check my diary.

Thanks for the gen on caravan and dog.

I'm struggling to find out booking info/telephone number for the campsite?
Can Anyone Help please.

Also, can you tell me if anything is happening next weekend (9th/10th).
I'm sure my membership won't be processed in time, but is it at all possible to come down and meet people and/or do a day membership thing.

Regards!
Sted.

Hi All,

A bit of digging I found;

Golden Coast Caravan and Camping 01554 742 423

Can anyone confirm this is the correct campsite and telephone number?

Cheers

I have sent you a couple of emails.

Chris has been a big help.

Do you know if anyone will be on the beach 9/10 Aug available to meet and greet?

Hi Sted. I won't be around that weekend but some of the locals might be. If you are on Facebook join the CLSC group and post up in there and if people are going out for a sail they can let you know.

Many thanks Cheryl,

I am 51 and reluctant to do the Facebook thing! ( I might have to get with the program? )

So i will stick with your forum for now.

I'm guessing when you say club weekend that that is the once a month Gig?

Can i presume that you can fly any day you fancy at Pembrey?

Can anyone tell me what the procedure is for none club weekends?

Sorry, a Newbie in need is a Pain indeed!

Regards

Ah fair enough :)

Yeah we hold a club weekend roughly once a month from Easter through till Sept (depending on tides etc)

Yes you can fly when ever you like and you will need to sign in before you fly. All the info about this is in the membership pack that you will receive from Andy who deals with the membership :)
